Edgar's Transmission

The customer of this cool ‘72 Bronco came in with its 3 speed manual popping out of gear. A quick removal of the top cover revealed the rear mainshaft bearing came apart allowing the entire mainshaft to “walk” when shifting, ruining all the brass synchros. A full rebuild and this Bronco is happy again. Thanks Bryce for continuing to choose Edgar’s transmission for you vehicles needs! ... See MoreSee Less

That’s cool, the way a garage should look!

Cool! I find it amazing broncos are bringing in so much money!

That's my 69 Camaro! I wish.

I’m available to test drive all pictured after mechanical work is complete. I have insurance and I will not charge😊

Edgar's Transmission

Hey everyone, Tim Dacus here, owner at Edgar’s Transmission. I love showcasing other businesses we work with. Ron Wright at HotWired Customs pulled me out of the fire on my ‘78 F100 shop truck. Please read, enjoy and understand this is the character of shop owners we choose to surround ourselves with!Just doing what we do. We love to keep customers on the road and enjoying the ride, that's what it's all about. Without our amazing customers, friends and supporters we wouldn't be able to do what we do, and we don't take this for granted. I heard somewhere "If your doing what you love you will never work a day in your life"That's not to say it doesn't come with challenges, but getting this kind of feedback makes it so worth it. Tim Dacus glad we could help, thanks for the late night "roadkill" experience. #livingthedream

I have to give a big shout out to Ron Wright at HotWired Customs for coming to my rescue late on a Sunday night. Tonight I went to load up my ‘78 F100 onto my trailer to take tomorrow to a car audio shop for new stereo system. It has a 408W with Holley Sniper. Truck wouldn’t stay running. Called Ron, couldn’t believe it when he said he’d come out (it’s after 8:30 on a Sunday night!). Ron shows up with laptop in hand, goes to work, notices AFR’s way too high and the system trying to overcompensate with fuel. Immediately he suggested checking fuel pressure at the Sniper... fuel pressure was 17 lbs!...after checking fuel filters we diagnosed the Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump failing. “Do you have another pump” he asked. “Race car” I said, Ron jumped in helping swap fuel pumps between the two vehicles. Problem solved! Truck fires up at 11:00 pm, He uploaded another tune and the ol’ truck runs like new again. Ron went above and beyond the call of duty tonight and I’m very grateful! I’m able to make my car audio appointment tomorrow. Thank you again Ron!
